How the trade relationship actually works

You sell. We deliver. The terms below exist so that neither of us has to guess what the other will do when a programme changes at short notice — which it will.

What MICEVIET is, in one paragraph

MICEVIET is a contracting layer. We hold locked agreements with one DMC in each destination we cover, we set the operating standard those DMCs work to, and we sell the resulting capacity to the trade at net. We do not run retail. We do not have a consumer website. Your client will never receive an email from us.

For an agency, that means one contract, one rate sheet and one escalation path covering several Vietnamese destinations, instead of three separate supplier relationships you have to audit individually.

What you are buying that you could not assemble yourself

An agency can find a DMC in Da Nang without our help. The reason to work through a contracting layer is not access — it is the things that only exist when one party is accountable across several destinations.

  • One standard, three destinations. The same staffing ratios, the same contingency requirement, the same reporting format whether the programme runs in Phu Quoc, Da Nang or Ha Long Bay. You brief once.
  • Vendor lock. Our DMC agreements are exclusive in each destination for the segment we cover. The operator cannot quietly hand your programme to a subcontractor you never approved.
  • An escalation path above the operator. When a DMC is the problem, calling the DMC is not a solution. How escalation works.
  • Consistency you can put in a tender. Procurement departments ask for supplier standards in writing. Three unrelated DMCs cannot produce one document; we can.
  • A single point of contact who is awake. GMT+7 business hours, one team, one thread.
Where we are honestly no better than going direct

For a single programme in a single destination with a group under thirty, a good local DMC will serve you as well as we will and probably a little cheaper — there is a contracting layer in the price. Our value shows up on repeat volume, on multi-destination programmes, and when something goes wrong. If you have one small group in Da Nang and no plans for more, we will say so.

What we will not do

  1. Sell to your client. Not during the programme, not after it, not if they approach us first. Written into the agreement.
  2. Publish net rates. They sit behind verification. Public net rates destroy your margin as effectively as they destroy ours.
  3. Take a booking we cannot staff. If the dates are beyond our contracted DMC's depth we will tell you rather than accepting and subcontracting quietly.
  4. Quote a programme without a contingency. Wet-weather and force-majeure alternatives are contracted, not identified on the day. This occasionally makes us more expensive than an operator who leaves it blank.
  5. Work with an unverified buyer. Trading status is checked before rates are released, without exception.
Common questions

Questions partners ask most

Do you work with agencies outside Vietnam?

Yes — most of our trade partners are outbound agencies and event agencies based elsewhere in Asia and in Europe. Verification is the same process; the documents we ask for differ slightly by jurisdiction.

Can we see rates before registering?

You can see how rates are built — bands, seasonal multipliers, what is included and what moves the number. The actual figures are released after verification. That is not gatekeeping for its own sake; published net rates would reach end clients within a week and your margin would be the casualty.

What commission do you take?

None. We sell net and you set your own selling price. There is no commission structure to negotiate, which is why the conversation is about the net figure rather than about percentages.

Can we brand the proposal as our own?

Yes, and it is the normal case. Client-facing documents carry your identity and no reference to us. See white-label proposals.
